Kinlow had married his high-school sweetheart and rarely missed the Lincoln County Red Devils' home football games. He worked in a lumber yard and drove a freight truck. The citizen-soldiers he trained with every month included family friends and former teachers; he cracked them up with his imitations of the officers.
Then, late last year, he got the news: He was going to war.
So between Christmas and New Year's, he tore off two sheets of notebook paper and wrote out his life in summary, with a blank for the newspapers to fill in later, beginning with the end.
"Mr. James O. Kinlow, 35, of Holt St. died -------- in Iraq."
Nearly seven months later, the sentence was completed...

Well it doesn't look like I'm going to hear from KBR, I've applied to over 150 postings now in Iraq and Afghanistan and haven't heard anything back. *sighs* Oh well. Hrmm this next week will be horribly boring at work because the last week of the month we can't do anything, me and Cliff always dread it. Hrmm, I need to find a better paying job, sure I make a decent amount, but I want to start doing an independent body (Scottish Rite) and I want to get headed towards 32nd degree a.s.a.p however that requires some money... a good chunk of money. Oh well, things will work out... they always do... just may take a bit longer than I want it to.

Hrmm

I get raised tonight... it should have happened just about a year ago, however I drug my feet on my FC... Between my EA and my FC exactly one year passed... when the Lodge wanted me to do my FC 14 days after my EA and be raised as an MM only 9 days after that... but I screwed around mainly becuase I was upset that dad and my godfather wouldn't be there. I finally got over that and realized my dad will be there watching over me from that undiscovered country from whence bourne no traveler returns... and my godfather Joe... well his health isn't so great (I mean, this guy is tough... he was UDT during WWII) But his health hasn't been so good since a little before my dad passed away, he made it down for dad's funeral and I'm sure he would have made it to my MM tonight even if it meant him dying after... but I waited untill just now to tell him, because I don't need him making a big fuss and coming down from fort wayne. I know he wants to be there, and thats all that matters to me. *nods* not that the majority of you will have any idea to what I'm talking about with this post... it it is afterall a JOURNAL, more importantly... my journal.

*shakes his head*

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Sylvester Stallone is signing on to reprise his role as boxer Rocky Balboa in the sixth installment of the long-running film series, which he wrote and will direct.
The film, titled "Rocky Balboa," will be co-produced and co-financed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Columbia Pictures and Revolution Studios and will be distributed by Columbia Pictures.
Stallone has been trying to make a sixth movie for years and has been reworking a script. The latest version, which sources said is similar to the tone and grit of the first two movies, persuaded the studios to negotiate a deal.
"In many ways, the screenplay really took me back to the original 'Rocky,' " Revolution Studios founder Joe Roth said in a statement. "As a past champion, Rocky Balboa is once again a regular guy who has to find himself and deal with real life. This film brings Rocky's story full circle."
In the new installment, Rocky, lonely and retired in Philadelphia, comes out of retirement, intending to fight a few low-profile local fights. He's approached to fight a match with reigning heavyweight champ Mason "The Line" Dixon, and soon his comeback ignites a media firestorm.
"'Rocky Balboa' is about everybody who feels they want to participate in the race of life, rather than be a bystander," Stallone said in a statement. "You're never too old to climb a mountain, if that's your desire."
Shooting is scheduled to begin in December in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
Stallone received Academy Award nominations for starring in and writing "Rocky," and the 1976 MGM film won an Oscar for best picture, best director (John G. Avildsen) and best editing (Richard Halsey, Scott Conrad). The movie grossed $117.3 million at the domestic boxoffice, making Stallone a film star and creating one of cinema's most famous characters.
It also launched one of the most successful film series of all time. 1979's "Rocky II" grossed $85 million, and 1982's "Rocky III," which featured Mr. T, grossed $120.2 million. "Rocky IV," with Dolph Lundgren, made $125.4 million after its 1985 release. By the decade's close, however, audiences seemed to have tired of the character. "Rocky V," released in 1990, made only $40 million.
"Rocky Balboa" is the first film to be green-lit by MGM since it was acquired by Sony Corp.

I love...

I love pheremones... not only for the female attraction, but for the attraction of people period. The days I don't wear any to work... I'm like a ghost... no one is aware I exist... the days I do (like today) everytime someone walks by my cubicle they almost always say hi and initiate a conversation. People that don't see me one day, sit down in my cubicle and chat away with me. Heh, I love it. I wonder if politicians use pheremones...

Dig if you will the picture
Of you and I engaged in a kiss
The sweat of your body covers G
Can you my darling
Can you picture this?
Dream if you can a courtyard
An ocean of violets in bloom
Animals strike curious poses
I feel the heat
The heat between me and you
How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that's so cold? (So cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry
Touch if you will my stomach
Feel how it trembles inside
You've got the butterflies all tied up
Don't make me chase you
Even doves have pride
How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world so cold? (World so cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding (maybe maybe)
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold (too bold)
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other (why)
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry
ooh ooh ooh - baby

Anyone who bought powebrall tickets for tonights 300million... good luck. I think I met who is going to win. I went to go get my tickets... and she had a flat tire... had managed to get the donut on by herself, but it too was flatter than a pancake and the air cap wouldn't come off... after a few mintues I got it off and aired her up and I said "now you go in there and buy you 2 quick pick powerball tickets, your luck has to get better soon" so she did, she went in and bought 2 tickets, my 2 tickets... I bought the 2 right after her... she'll win, I just know it... but from the sounds of it, she deserves to win at least something. :)
